  1. I truly enjoyed training in Newport Beach. For a yacht filled harbor there is very little traffic. I guess no one has the time to take out the yachts. This catamaran when I first saw it looked HUGE! Now as I pass it, the size seems more manageable if I were the skipper :-). Wind conditions in the harbor are also very manageable up till 12 noon. In the afternoon I usually cross trained on the bike or the gym. Another benefit to the harbor water is that 50% of the time there is some kind of current which is very good to train boat control. Some of my best races internationally were won on rough water. You can learn more about my rowing experience in competition and as a coach by joining my online monthly rowing seminar. Row far, Xeno
