This is great footage. Mark is a great friend of mine.

We are taking orders now for the early birds.
By the way, Mark Campbell on this video is the owner of Rowperfect. He came to visit me last August with two of his five children. I hit it off with him in a heart beat. Truely one of those great Aussies! I am very lucky to have the opportunity to work with him in the future for a LONG LONG TIME. I am so excited to hit the road with the Rowperfect. We will be at regattas, tradeshows, and will teach fitness entrepreneurs to start their own indoor rowing studio where they will be able to sell the machine as well. Stay tuned.

  1. X, Didn't look like Mark's seat was moving very much?

  2. Hi

The seat moves very little. It has its own track. The bulk of the movement comes from the flywheel-footboard. Rowing the Rowperperfect is a very nice experience of ease and acceleration.

  3. XENO,

I am very close to purchasing an indoor rowing machine and ran across the Rowperfect. Is the Rowperfect a good alternative for daily workouts compared to the other popular rowing machines? Does it work your quads well? I have not seen many claims about the up-keep. Any comments? Sorry for the list of questions. I'm very excited about seeing the price, estimated time to delivery on units, etc...

    Thanks,

  4. Hello Brian,
Great to hear that you will be a rower. Rowing is great for the entire body. Rowperfect and Concept2 are in my opinion the only machines to choose from if you consider using them for the long run. The huge advantage that Rowperfect has is that its footprint is half the amount of the Concept2 on slides. Rowperfect is a dynamic rowing machine. This means that your flywheel travels back and forth unlike a stationary/static rowing machine such as the Concept2. Rowperfect makes the rowing exercise smoother and gentler on the body and its joints. Because of its size it is possible to take the machine with you in a carry box similar to a bike box. Price wise, I believe the Rowperfect will cost around $2200 shipped. There is a ton more I could write, but family matters are calling.
    All the best,
    XENO

  5. Hi XENO,

Thanks for the quick response. I actually rowed in college at the University of Tennessee years ago. I was Captain of our Crew team for nearly 3 years and to this day claim rowing defined the person I am today. I recently moved and just don't have access to an erg, thus my interest in picking up my own. If you have any additional information on the Rowperfect I would very much be interested. I live in Nashville, so do you know if you all will be at an event in this region displaying the new Rowperfect? I'd love to just try one out before I make a decision.

On a personal note... I have a lot of respect for you in being an ambassador for the sport of rowing.

    Keep up the great work!

  6. Hello Brian
Thank you for your kind words.
As soon as we have a machine for display from Rowperfect I am hitting the road with our Camper Bus. Until now, all I would have been able to "sell" is my coaching services, which is not an economy of scale "witchet". However, the Rowperfect enables me to promote rowing further and will give me the opportunity to go farther out of Orange County. I know that the master nationals are in TN. Who knows, I might get there. The Swiss national team trained in Oakridge in 1994, 1996, &1999.
I greatly enjoy teaching new people how to row, because it is a skill that they likely will keep going until they are 160 years old.
All the best and thanks for checking in to my blog.

  7. great work! I can clearly see the advantage of size over a CII (which I have had since the original bike wheel models).

If one had the room - big if - is the feel of the CII on slides and the advantages of it the same as the rowperfect, or are there other benefits of the rowperfect (or Cii on slides?)

    thanks,

  9. Hello,

I had to jump out of representing Rowperfect at this time.

I needed to start working with another rowing machine. I enjoy the WaterRower. The Rowperfect has attributes that a stationary rowing machine does not have and are beneficial for on the water rowing.

The WaterRower however, is nice to row and quite and has a small footprint. It is perfect to row while keeping the sound level to a minimum with a nice swoosh of water each stroke you take.
